Dear EOUC Members and Oracle User Group Leaders,

During the EOUC Summit in Ede, the Netherlands, the APEX World 2026 conference, organised by nlOUG, also took place, bringing together APEX developers, Oracle experts, and technology professionals.

Thank you to everyone who joined our EOUC meeting in Ede. It was great to share feedback and best practices with representatives from NLOUG, HrOUG, OUGN, DOAG, AUFO, ROOUG, LVOUG, ORA2Know, and UKOUG, alongside our colleagues from Oracle (Roxana Dudka, Yohan Turner, Steve Ramsay, and Jonathan Price) to discuss our shared goals for 2026.

The meeting focused heavily on strategies to address the aging demographic of the Oracle community, highlighting a proposal for a new European-level mentoring initiative. Regarding technology, we discussed Oracle’s extended support for Applications Unlimited and reviewed the transition to the new My Oracle Cloud Support portal.

We discussed support opportunities for MySQL and our local user groups. The MySQL Community team is currently collecting a list of interested user groups and contacts to finalize budget requests for upcoming MySQL collaborations and meetups.

Additionally, plans are underway for a hybrid Maximum Availability Architecture (MAA) summit in September. User groups will be responsible for managing the Call for Papers for this event.

Finally, we also outlined our event strategy for the upcoming Oracle Community Tour EMEA 2026. The tour is returning this fall, divided into two distinct legs covering Europe, the Middle East, and Central Asia. This tour brings together Oracle experts, industry professionals, and developers to share insights on the latest technological advancements and best practices. Please note that the Call for Papers is now open.

Thank you all for your continued dedication to the community.
